Roasted Garlic Hummus

Quick and yummy hummus with a garlicky twist!



Roasted Garlic

- 1 garlic bulb/head

- 2 teaspoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon salt


- 1 can of garbanzo beans (chickpeas), strained and rinsed

- ½ teaspoon salt

- ½ teaspoon ground coriander

- ½ teaspoon ground cumin

- 3 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 tablespoons tahini

- Roasted garlic


1. Roast garlic – garlic can be roasted in the oven or air-fryer. First cut the top about ¼ inch to reveal the cloves of garlic, then wrap with aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil and salt, and then seal the foil by twisting the top.

a. Oven: pre-heat oven to 400°F. Once ready, roast for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool before handling.

b. Air-fryer: Cook in air fryer at 200°C for 20-25 minutes. Remove from air-fryer and allow to cool before handling.

2. Once the roasted garlic has cooled, squeeze the garlic cloves (from the bottom up) into a blender/food processer. Add in all other ingredients. Process until smooth.

3. Plate the hummus. Top with olive oil, rosemary, chili pepper, and a few garbanzo beans. Enjoy!
